Our family owns a holiday home just three houses down the street from the guesthouse and having spent many happy childhood holidays in Jongensfontein, it just seemed like a sign and a dream come true, when the guesthouse came into the market. With its proximity to the seaside, as well as the amazing views of the ocean, it was a no-brainer to start extending our current portfolio.

Jongensfontein derives its name from a natural spring. The earliest mention of Jongensfontein is a land deed from 1762. The formal development of Jongensfontein as a town, was granted in 1968. The town has since increased in popularity, due to it’s amazing beaches, sea life, oceanic views, fishing and surfing opportunities, as well as the ever-popular whale watching season (July-November).

Having been involved in the hospitality industry, with Elephant Plains Game Lodge, for the past 21 years, we have become known for our unpretentious hospitality and warm, friendly atmosphere. Little Rock Guesthouse, being situated in the un spoilt, rugged nature of the Garden Route, lends itself to the same hearty, home-away-from-home feeling. What better way to start your day than with the smell of freshly brewed coffee, home-made rusks and un spoilt oceanic views? Step over the street and you are on the beach, or go on an adventure with various activities in the area. The sound of waves crashing just outside your bedroom window will lull you off to a deep night’s sleep …
